Essays by Peter J. BlackburnBachelor of Divinity with Honours in New Testament, University of Queensland, 1961-1964
Note: The BD course included a strong component of Old Testament (in Hebrew), also Philosophy of Religion and Psychology of Religion. They are not represented in these essays.
In making these essays available on the Internet, Greek text has been written in the Windows True Type font "Symbol". This has meant presenting it without breathing marks, accents and subscripts. There being no generally accessible Hebrew font, Hebrew text has been transliterated with the limitations imposed by English fonts. Progressively, such essays will also be made available as PDF files with Greek and Hebrew displayed correctly. (The latest Acrobat Reader is available FREE from Adobe.)
There has been slight editing of the originals, but only to correct typographical and grammatical errors. There has been no attempt to re-write the text in terms of present-day requirements for inclusiveness. The intent of source documents and of the present author was quite clearly inclusive in the context in which they were written.
